The "Gye Nyame" symbol is one of the most popular traditional Adinkra symbols of the Akan people of West Africa, Ghana. Nyame is the word for God in their language and the phrase Gye Nyame means, "...except with God". In other contemporary terms, it has been used to symbolize the presence, acts, strength, and/or miracles of God in extraordinary circumstances... "but God." This design is from our Signature Significant Printz Collection and was adopted by our brand as a symbol of encouragement, inspiration and call to action.
